Dear Nazmul,
Assalamu Alaikum. I am very glad to receive your letter today. I came to know that all of your family are well. Thank Allah for that. Today I am going to tell you about a tragic accident that I witnessed on my way to university yesterday.
A beggar of about sixty years was crossing the street. A car was running frantically in the direction towards the beggar. It came to my notice that it was dodging and overtaking other vehicles madly. And within the twinkling of an eye, it
ran over the beggar and drove away very quickly before anybody could catch it. Now I am not going to give details about the unfortunate victim, but I want to express my feelings about reckless driving. I am profoundly grieved at the sight
of the dead beggar. Maybe, he is an insignificant member of the society but he is a human being. And everybody, except a very hard- hearted man, is profoundly shocked at the death of somebody. Reckless driving is increasing these days,
and all sorts of automobiles seem to have this dangerous tendency. Many lives are being lost as a result of accidents due to reckless driving. The government should take strong measures against it, and people should help the government.
